How do I remove all driver information for my Affinity (DCI) adapter?

Issue:
How do I remove all driver information for my Affinity (DCI) adapter?

Solution:
1.   From within a DOS windows type
:                        CD\WINDOWS\SYSTEM

     Then delete the following
:                  C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\xxx5250.VXD   (xxx = DCI, AFF or CEM)
                  C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\xxx5250.386   (xxx = DCI, AFF or CEM)

2.   From within a DOS window type
:                  CD\WINDOWS\INF

     Then delete the following
                  C:\WINDOWS\INF\DRVDATA.BIN
                  C:\WINDOWS\INF\DRVIDX.BIN   

3.   At the C:\WINDOWS\INF prompt type
                  DIR OEM*.INF

****NOTE:   Newer versions of Windows95 may have a different format for
            the .INF file.

            Look for C:\WINDOWS\INF\OTHER\DEVELO~x.INF and delete it
                  Or C:\WINDOWS\INF\OTHER\AFFINI~x.INF and delete it
                        (Where x is a number)

     Display the contents of each OEMx.INF file and delete any file that
     relates to DCI or Affinity.

4.   Close the DOS window and return to windows.
     Click on
        Start
        Run
        Key in REGEDIT
     This will execute the Registry Editor.
     CAUTION:   Prior to editing the Registry, insure that the registry is
                saved in a file on diskette by selecting Registry, Export,
                a:filename
     PnP Cards
:        Click on the
            <+> to the left of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
                <+> to the left of "Enum"
                    <+> to the left of "ISAPNP"

        Right-click on the DCIxxxx (where xxxx is a 4 digit number)
        Select DELETE
        Click on YES to "Are you sure you want to delete this key?"

     EA or PC7 Cards
:        Click on the
            <+> to the left of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
                <+> to the left of "Enum"
                    <+> to the left of "Root"
        Right-click on the DCIxxxx (where xxxx is a 4 digit number)
        Select DELETE
        Click on YES to "Are you sure you want to delete this key?"

    PC Card
:        Click on the
            <+> to the left of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
                <+> to the left of "Enum"
                    <+> to the left of "PCMCIA"

        Right-click on the entry "DCI 5250_EMULATION_PC_CARD"
        Select DELETE
        Click on YES to "Are you sure you want to delete this key?"

5.   For all cards,
     Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE heading
        Click on the
            <+> to the left of "SOFTWARE"

     Right-click on the entry "Development Concepts"
     Select DELETE
     Click YES

     Click on the
        <+> to the left of "System"
            <+> to the left of "Current ControlSet"
                <+> to the left of "Control"

     Click on the folder labeled "Installed Files"

     In the right-side window, click on the down arrow until an entry
            "DCI5250.VXD, AFF5250.VXD or CEM5250.VXD"
     is displayed

     Right-click on that entry
     Click on DELETE
     Click on YES

     Click on the
        <+> to the left of "Services"
            <+> to the left of "Class"

     Right-click on the entry "DCI_5250"
     Click on DELETE
     Click on YES to  "Are you sure you want to delete this key?".

6.   Close the registry editor
