IOPRINT+ and LPD printing on Windows 2000, XP and NT4

Issue:
How to configure IOPRINT+ LPD printing on Windows 2000, XP and NT4 ?

Solution:

Assuming that your IOPRINT+ print server is configured with an IP address and connected to the network, make sure that you can ping the IP address of the IOPRINT+ from the Microsoft Windows Server.

Take note of the following default Logical ports of the IOPRINT+. You will require them in the TCP/IP configuration examples below:

'L1' for parallel port1
'L2' for parallel port 2
'L3' for parallel port3 or serial port
