MTSD, MTSRD, and Trueport.

Issue:

Some applications when using serial over IP demand to know the identity of the port being communicated with, such as accounting software.
To make this possible Perle provide software which is loaded on to the application server, which provides the connection to the serial server. As the connection is controlled by the application server, each port can have a fixed TTY or COM port address creating the impression that each port is local to the server instead of over a network.

Solution:

MSTD, and MTSRD have been replaced by Trueport and are no longer supported.
If you require fixed TTY devices then use the appropriate Trueport driver instead of MTSD or MTSRD.

Note: Ioland is currently supported.
