Issue:
The print job cannot be printed from the NetWare server when IOPRINT+ had been installed completely and capture command re-routed DEVICE LPT1?
Solution: STEP 2: (2.1) Connect the printer cable back to IOPRINT STEP 3: Issue the CAPTURE command again (Use CAPTURE /SH to verify the status of CAPTURE). Try to print a simple text file at DOS prompt (EXAMPLE: copy file_name LPT1). Step 4: Check the job status of the job that is not printing (4.1.1) Please check that the print server is attached to the queue or not at "Currently Attached Servers" in PCONSOLE (4.1.2) If it is not, check the mapping of the defined printer to queue in " Print Server Configuration" (4.1.3) Please check that the print server is running or not (4.1.4) Please check "Queue Status" to set all parameters in "Operator Flag" to "yes" (4.1.5) Reset printer (4.1.6) Recheck printer hardware, physical cabling, and serial cable pin-outs (if you use serial port) (4.2) If Status is Active: (This means that the print server is servicing the job but the job is not printing) (4.2.1) Check the physical cabling again (4.2.2) Bring down the print server and re-initialize it (4.2.3) Change another printer and try it again. (Maybe this is the problem of compatibility between Printer and IOPRINT) (4.3) If Status is Adding. (This means that the application or command is sending the job now) (4.3.1) Check Time-out and AutoEndCap with CAPTURE /SH (4.3.2) Issue EndCap (4.3.3) Check the sending application (4.3.4) Check the file size in PCONSOLE. if the file size is growing, data is still being sent. (4.4) If job is disappeared from queue. (This means that the print server has correctly serviced the job in the job, but there is a problem with the printer, or job's data format) (4.4.1) Recheck printer hardware, physical cabling, and serial cable pin-outs(if you use serial port) (4.4.2) Recheck data format compatibility with printer configuration.
STEP 1: Check the printer cable. Connect printer cable to PC and print a job via the LPT port on PC (local printing).
(2.2) Make sure the user is in the Queue Users list
(2.3) Make sure the user is in the Print Server Users list
(4.1) If Status is Ready: (This means that the job is in the queue, but has not yet been picked up by the print server)
