Search Tip: You can increase the accuracy of your searches by using as many keywords as possible. Remove any common words such as "a", "or", "the" as they will be used in the search. Do not use any operands such as +, or quotation marks to enclose phrases.

Issue:
When using the Windows Telnet client to configure the serial server products, with CLI commands that require a Y/N answer is bypassed and returns back to the command line.
In some cases, communication to attached serial devices will appear that the device's prompts are being echoed/repeated, displays double prompts, or jumps an additional line.
Cause:
Windows Telnet is configured, by default, to send a CRLF (carriage return + line feed) when the enter key is pressed.
The LF will answer the Y/N prompt so causes the command to be passed.
This may also cause serially attached devices to respawn the prompt as the LF can be views as a CR.
Solution:
The Windows Telnet client for Windows 2000/XP can change this parameter by dropping to the telnet prompt usually by ctrl+"]" :
At the Telnet prompt type: unset crlf
Type "display" to see current settings.
There is no option to change the Telnet Client behaviour for Windows 9X, ME, or NT. It is advised to use a different Telnet client.
