Search Tip: You can increase the accuracy of your searches by using as many keywords as possible. Remove any common words such as "a", "or", "the" as they will be used in the search. Do not use any operands such as +, or quotation marks to enclose phrases.

Issue:
Trueport for AIX is not working, but it works on other OS's.
Cause:
Trueport for AIX will install with Lite mode as a default. For AIX, Lite mode is a client process so it will call the serial server.
Trueport for other OS's is always a host, so it will be a listening process.
Solution:
Ensure that the serial server is configured to listen for a TCP connection.
On a Jetstream, this would be a Reverse Raw service.
On an Iolan+, this would be ACCESS = Remote.
Refer to the Perle Trueport manual for more details on the configuration for AIX and the serial servers.
