Issue:
UltraPort RJ45 pinout with 8pin RJ45 cable has the same pin signalling as the Iolan+ terminal server and FAST4 multiport serial card.
Solution:
If you attach an 8pin RJ45 cable to the UltraPort 10pin RJ45 port only pins 2 to 9 are connected.
You can then follow the Iolan+/FAST4 RJ45 pinout diagrams.
If you are currently using an Iolan+ terminal server that has RJ45 ports or the FAST4 card, then you can directly attach the RJ45 cable to the UltraPort RJ45 port without modifications.
