Search Tip: You can increase the accuracy of your searches by using as many keywords as possible. Remove any common words such as "a", "or", "the" as they will be used in the search. Do not use any operands such as +, or quotation marks to enclose phrases.

Issue:
Perle 833IS and 833AS displays "********" for a logon event and the Statistics display an "unknown" user ID.
Cause:
When using SecurID authentication the Perle can only obtained the User ID information given by the PPP dialup adapter prompt (the SecurID authentication is relayed in a secure tunnel between the client and the SecurID server).
Solution:
To log the User information correctly in the Perle's event log and statistics ensure that the client enter's a valid User ID in the Dialup Networking prompt.
