Issue:
How to configure two Jetstream's/CS9000's for a port to port serial connection over the LAN.
In this configuration, the data on one Jetstream's serial port will be transported over the LAN to another Jetstream's serial port.Solution:
To configure the port to port, one Jetstream will initiate a TCP connection to the other Jetstream to form the data connection.
In this example the units will be named "JSone" and "JStwo".
Configuration of JSone:
Line 1 on this unit will initiate the connection to Line 1 on the other unit:
Add an entry for other Jetstream (JStwo) to the host table.
Set Line 1 service = Silent Raw
Set the communication parameters to match the serial device's configuration
Set the Host = the host name of the other Jetstream
Set the Host Port = 10001
Save and Kill the line

Configuration of JStwo:
This unit will have Line 1 waiting for the connection.
Set Line 1 service = Reverse Raw
Set the communication parameters to match the serial device attached
Set the JS Port = 10001
Save and Kill the line

At this point JSone-Line1 will connect to JStwo-Line1.
Data sent/recieved on the Line will be indicated by the transmit (yellow) and recieve (green) LED's on the port.
Note: a Port to Port can be performed within the same unit. The only difference in the configuration is the Host. Create a Host table entry for the unit itself and then configure this to be the Host to connect to.
