Issue:
Are there any default IP address's assigned to any Perle products ?
Solution:
Only the Perle 833 remote access server's have a predefined default IP address.
Perle 833 RAS, Perle 833 IS v6, and Perle 833 AS = 223.223.223.x
where x is the least significant byte of the MAC address. Example 1D hex = 29 decimal.
All Perle 833 remote access servers have BOOTP and RARP enabled by default which will over-ride the default address.
The Perle Ioprint+, Jetstream, Lanstream, and CS9000 products have DHCP enabled by default.
The Perle Iolan+ has BOOTP enabled by default.
The Perle controllers and routers must be manually configured with an IP address.
