How to add a default gateway (IOLAN all models)

Issue:

How do I add a default gateway from a command line . Using a telnet session or Admin port.

Solution:

Password:xxxxxxxxx

�at the # type the following, for this example the default gateway is a router, you can choose any name.

This document assumes the IOLAN's IP address and Subnet mask has already been set.

SDS1# add host router 10.10.100.10

SDS1# add gateway router default

Save the entry

SDS1# save

Save config to flash ROM y/n y

Saving to flash ROM. This may take several seconds. Please wait...

Show the gateway entry

SDS1# show gateway

Gateway�� Service�� Internet Address?Gateway Type

router��?Default�� Host

SDS1#

reboot the IOLAN for the route to take effect.
