Issue:
Alarm level - channel syslog alarms or emails
Solution:
Send Email Alert
Sends an email alert to an email account(s) set up in the Server settings (the Line Email Alert settings are not used with this feature) when an alarm is triggered or cleared. The email alert data includes the severity level and the value that caused the alarm to trigger or clear.
The Email Alert is associated with Level Critical.
Ensure that the Server Configuration - Email -> Level is set to Critical (or higher).
Send Syslog Alert
Sends a message to syslog when an alarm is triggered or cleared.
The syslog entry includes the severity level and the value that caused the alarm to trigger or clear.
The syslog message is associated with Level Critical.
Facility: USER
Level: CRIT
Message contents:
iomgr[###]: [Digital/Analog] channel [#] -- < Channel Description >alarm has cleared
iomgr[###]: [Digital/Analog] channel [#] -- < Channel Description > is in alarm condition ([value of channel])
example of Digital input 2 alarm trigger = active input
Facility: USER
Level: CRIT
Message: iomgr[285]: Digital channel 2 -- is in alarm condition (Active)
Ensure that the Network Configuration - Syslog -> Level is set to Critical (or higher)
