Issue:

PerleView is not able to find any Managed Media Converters on the network.

Solution:
Configure PerleView to use ICMP ping messages for the discovery of Managed Media Converters (MMCs).

• In PerleVIEW, select Devices -> Discovering Devices
  
• Select the Default Device Discovery task and click the Edit button.
  
• Enable device discovery using IP addresses and in the list enter the range of IP addresses belonging to your MMCs.
  
• Click + to expand Optimize discovery
  
• Enable “All devices/networks support UDP messages on port 33815 and 33816”
  
• Enable “All devices /networks support ICMP ping messages” and enter a Protocol Timeout 3 seconds and Protocol Retries 10.
  
• Click Apply.
  
• Click the “Run Now” button.
