How do I reset my unit to factory default settings ?
Jetstream and CS9000
Can be set to factory default depending on the age of the unit. Older units had a Factory Reset button at the rear of the unit. By holding this switch down for 5 sec. the unit will reset all configuration data to defaults and reboot. The 10/100MB units no longer have a reset button.
You can also reset the the unit by connecting to the Admin port using a terminal (9600 8 N 1 No Flow Control) and issuing the following command at a console prompt "reset factory". Then power cycle the unit.
Note: the new 10/100MB "grey" units no longer have the factory reset button on the rear of the unit.
Can be re-set to factory default depending on the age of the unit. Older units had a button on the rear of the unit to boot the unit into the Boot Strap menu. Connect a terminal to async port 1 (9600 8 n 1 No Flow Control). Hold this button down for 25 sec. during normal operating mode or for 5 sec. during bootup and the Boot Strap menu will be available on port 1 of the unit. The 10/100MB units no longer have a reset button. You must enter five [Control] + B key sequences during the Ethernet boot sequence of the unit.
Choose the Reset option and then the setting you wish to set to defaults. Then choose "q" to quit and reboot.

You can also reset the Iolan+ from the command line prompt using the "facreset" command.
Can be set to factory default values by using the configuration utility "Bi-Admin". BiAdmin can be configured to scan the LAN over TCP/IP, NetBeui or IPX for the unit. Once you connect use the InitDevice -> Restore Factory Default option.
If the IP address is known then use FTP to connect to the unit. This method will prompt for a userid use the value on the label on the bottom of the unit ex: SCA12345. After establishing the link issue the command "get DEFAULTC". Then end the link using QUIT.
If BiAdmin cannot find the server (ie protocols have been disabled on the Ioprint+ or IP address unknown) then the unit must be sent into Service to be reset.
Attach a terminal to the console port on the router, and set to factory default by selecting DIAGNOSTICS from the MAIN MENU then HARD re-set .
Alternatively the P-17xx routers can be re-set to factory default by power cycling the unit with the console module removed. Then re-install the console module.
An alternate method to re-set the P-84x routers is to remove the top of the case then on jumper set W1 removing the jumper between pins 3 & 6 then powering cycling the unit then re-jumpering pins 3 & 6. Then powering on the unit
An alternate method to re-set the P-85x routers is to remove the top of the case then on jumper set W1 removing the jumper between pins 5 & 6 then powering cycling the unit then re-jumpering pins 5 & 6. Then powering on the unit
Can be re-set to factory by using the manager program to access the unit then selecting the configuration tab then choosing the factory default option.
Alternatively the front panel can be used to select the factory default settings. This option is discoverd by navigation using the left and right and up and down arrow keys to get to either configuration or control option. The enter key is used to select the desired option. Choose the reset default option, then reboot the unit.
