Issue:
The Trueport device in Windows 2000/XP/2003 does not display any Host Name, IP or MAC address when properties are viewed.
Cause:
The terminal server has not made any connections to the Trueport daemon.
Solution:
Ensure that you have configured your terminal server to initiate the connection to the Trueport daemon.
Trueport on Windows will listen for the connection and display the Host Name, IP and MAC address once the first connection is made. Then the daemon will start creating COM port devices.
Notes:
The Web Configuration option is only available with a Jetstream, Lanstream or CS9000 connection.
The Name will only appear if there is an entry in the Windows Hosts file or DNS server when the Trueport device is first installed.
