Radius Attibutes Supported for the 833 Remote Access Server

What are Radius Attibutes Supported for the 833 remote access servers.

Solution:

The following RADIUS attributes are used by the 833RAS:

When authenticating the 833 will send these Account Request Messages:

PAP/CHAP userID and password/challenge
NAS-Port = 1
NAP-Identifier = [configured name of 833RAS]

The 833 will accept these RADIUS return Access-Accept Messages:

Service-Type = Framed or Callback Framed
Framed-IP-Address
Filter-ID
Callback-Number
Session-Timeout
Idle-Timeout

The RADIUS server attributes for the 833IS and 833AS are noted in the User Guide Appendix 4.

Additional notes concerning the Account Request Messages:

The NAS-Port returned by the Perle Manager is 18+ for the 833IS and 121+ for the 833AS.
The NAS-Identifier returned by the Perle is the configured Server Name.
