Issue:
How do I determine if I have resources available for my Affinity adapter in my Windows 95 PC?

Solution:

                              Windows 95
                     Verifying Available Resources

To verify IRQ (Interrupt Request), I/O (Input/Output or Base Port Address)
and Memory availability in a Windows 95 pc, use the following instructions.

1. Start Windows 95

2. At the Windows 95 Desktop
    Press and hold the key
Double-click on the "My Computer" icon in the upper left corner of the
    desktop

Click on the "Device Manager" Tab

The 1st entry in the Device Manager will be a Blue Computer with the word
"COMPUTER" after it
:
Double-click on the 1st entry, "COMPUTER"

To check your IRQ usage / availability
: Make sure the radio button in front of Interrupt Request(IRQ)
is selected by clicking on it.

A list of IRQs available to the system will now be listed,
    (00 - 15). A total of 16 IRQs

If an IRQ is not in use (in other words, it is available),
it will be missing from the list. Scroll down the list and
find a number 'missing' from the list.

You may also want to pay attention and see if our card is
listed in the listing of IRQs. (if you have already attempted to
    install the adapter card)

To check your Input/Output (I/O) usage
: Make sure the radio button in front of Input/Output(I/O)
is selected by clicking on it.

Scroll down the list if I/O address and check to see if the
I/O address you wish to use is free or already in use by
    another device.

To check your Memory Address usage
: Make sure the radio button in front of Memory is selected
    by clicking on it.

Scroll down the list of addresses and verify that the
address you wish to use for the card is not in use by
another device. If it is, find a free address in the list.
