Issue:
How can the configuration stored in the controller be retrieved,without using the configuration utility.

Solution:
Using the front lcd and keypad on the controller,configuration and diagnostic information can be retrieved.
located on the front lower right corner of any Perle 494 or 594 controller there is an Lcd and Key pad.
there are keys you required to perform or gather informaton from the controller.
Looking at the front panel key pad.

    i  or Req     located in the upper right corner of the key pad .
    Enter          Green key located in the lower right corner of key pad
    Arrows       There are 4 directional arrows,use to scroll through the configuration information.

press the (I) then 201 followed by Enter, this will display the AS/400 configuration.

201-01  || 008 =memory size.
201-09  || Vx.xx  mmyy = the current firmware release .
