How to obtain wave voice drivers for the PCI-RAS card.

Issue:
Why are there no sound/wave devices created for the voice capabilities of the PCI-RAS v.90 multimodem card on Windows 2000/XP.

Cause:
The current firmware for the PCI-RAS v.90 card does not include wave voice device drivers to create the necessary devices on Windows 2000 and XP.

Solution:

Upgrade the modem firmware and upgrade the modem inf file. The modem chips on the card must be first upgraded to the v3.40 firmware before using the new modem INF file.

The updated modem inf file (included int he firmware upgrade package) includes the necessary information to create wave devices for voice support.

See the link below to obtain the update.
Ensure that you are currently using at least version 1.04.00 of the PCI-RAS driver.
Note that the instructions only mention Windows 2000, but is applicable for Windows XP.
