Issue:
Controller will not boot the front panel message displayed is 199 II 00127 01

Cause:
The controller software diskette and or the configuration file stored in the controller is corrupt.

Solution:
To resolve this condition, you must identify the message and where to look

 199 II 00 127 01

199 =>This is a 494 or 594 hardware error.
00 127 => The controller has failed the self test.
01 => this is identifying the failed slot.

The above message can be sometimes misleading,the reason is any of the following can cause this.
1) This error can be the communication card slot 1.
2) Or this can be caused by a semi currupted controller software diskette.
3) Or the controller software diskette installed and operating in the wrong type.
4) Or a combination of the software and configuration running in the controller.
 
Slot 1 can have a different id number,this id number determines the controller type.
  
Card id numbers are as follows:
       40 = sync card 494E
       64 = sync card 494T
       72 = sync card 494A
       96 = sync card 594E
       97 =  sync card 594T


1)The first step in resolving this is to reboot the controller with a new copy of the controller software diskette.
2) Check the software diskette and confirm to be the correct version and model type, the 594e and 594T use different software.
3) Restore the stored configuration file in the controller.
     The configuration file name for the
              494E,494T and 494A is 494conf.dat
               594E,594T is 594conf.dat
4) Check the fan in the power supply at the back of the controller (lower left side) and confirm to be operational.
If you have tried all of the above the controller will require service.
