Issue:
Perle 494 or 594 Controller front LCD displays error 438909 ,even after rebooting the Perle controller.

Cause:
The AS/400 did not accept the connection request from the controller because the 594/494 controller descriptions are in a recovery state.

Solution:

The as/400 remote controller descriptions have failed,or is recovery pending.
use the wrkcfgsts *ctl command find the controller, the status will be failed or recovery pending vary off the controller description and vary on this will restore the connection with the controller.
