2. Install the PCI-5250 card in your computer's PCI slot. 

3. Power on your computer.

4. When your computer detects new hardware, it will prompt you to search for the drivers.  Insert disk 1 of the Visilink Software into your computer's floppy disk drive. 

5.  Select the floppy A: drive as the location to search for the driver. 

6.  Once the driver have been installed, click Finish and restart your computer. 

7. If you are using Visilink version 5.11 see Note 1 below before you continue.  However if you are using Visilink Version 5.12 then continue with the next step.

8.  After restarting computer,  install Visilink software by running the setup.exe file from disk 1. 

9.  Accept all the default settings during the Visilink installation.

10.  Start your Visilink program (from Start / Programs ) and configure your session(s).  Refer to the Visilink User manual for details. Make sure you have your twinax cable connected between the Affinity PCI-5250 adapter cable and your IBM AS/400 system.

NOTE 1:  If you are using Visilink 5.11, then you will need a supplemental W2K driver. Dowload the new twinax.sys driver from the following WEB site. Cut & paste the following link to your browser:

Once you have downloaded the new twinax.sys driver to your computer, go to the Winnt\System32 folder. In the system32 folder is the old twinax.sys driver file.  You need to replace this old file with the new twinax.sys file.  Simply copy the new Twinax.sys file over the old twinax.sys file and answer 'yes' to overwrite the old file. Lastly, restart your computer and continue with Step 8.
