Issue:
How to configure Model 3i and PerleTalk for Windows.

Solution:

Configure the MODEL 3i Port Definition

Note: For this config example we are using Port 0 on the Model 3i. Attached to Port 0 is a modem using a straight-through cable. The DTE/DCE switch on Port 0 is set to the DTE position.

Select Port 0 and enter the following options:

Device Type: PTALKWIN
Changeable: *YES
Workstation Address: 0
Changeable: *YES
Session Type: Display
Baudrate: leave this field blank
Bits per character: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Handshake method: RTS
Device Ready Method: DCDDSR

Configure the MODEL 3i Workstation Definition
Select workstation address 0 and change the Device emulation for 3180.  Leave all else at default settings.
