Perle unit cannot be pinged on supernetted network.

Issue:
Perle cannot be pinged on supernetted network.

Cause:

Similar to the way that subnetting allows you to divide class-based networks into smaller subnets by "borrowing" bits from the host part of the address, supernetting allows you to combine contiguous subnets into larger supernets by "borrowing" bits from the network part of the address.

Example, using a Class C IP address and using a Class B subnet mask.

Solution:
Currently only the Perle CS9000 (firmware v3.8.0) and the Iolan DS/SDS supports supernetting.
