Issue:
Ioland for AIX - adding a printer
Solution:
Use smit to add a print queue to the associated ioland device:
# smit printer
Print Spooling
Add a Print Queue
Attachment Type = File
Select Printer type
Name of exixting FILE in /dev directory = ioland device name
Create queue names depending on the type
You can manage/monitor the queue from smit or from the command line:
# lpstat -p[name of queue]
