SX Host card with MTA's and TA's

Issue:
Problems with data flow due to timing issues when using the SX card with older MTA8's or TA's.

Cause:
In certain limited circumstances, timing issues will occur on the SX BUS between the host card and older versions of the MTA or TA.

Solution:

The SX BUS timing issue will effect the flow of information between the host card and the MTA or TA.

MTA and TA units are not supported for the latest SX PCI card.
(SX serial number 66-064207E1xxxx and higher).

Find the Rev level of the MTA by viewing the underside. It will be two letters, such as "IB". The first letter signifies the Rev level.

MTA's of Rev I or above do not have a problem.
All other's are not supported for the SX card.

TA's above part number 00-035000 may work on some revisions of SX PCI cards but is not supported by Perle.

Feedback into support indicates that customers have had limited success in this combination. The proper currently supported combination is a SX card with the SXDC8 units.
