Solution:
1. Remove diskette from disk drive and power on Perle controller. The LCD will display 003-02 (1)
2. Insert the Controller SETUP diskette in the disk drive,
Press the Up Arrow key to change the 1 to 0, press the Enter key and wait for the diskette to load.
When completed the LCD will display 020 || xxxxxx
3. If the first line in the LCD displays Perle 494E, continue with the 494 section steps,
otherwise skip to the 594 section further below.
494 Section
a. Press the PF3 key. The LCD will display P01-01 (0)
b. Use the UP arrow key to change the 0 to 1, then press the Enter key.
The LCD will display 020-01 (1) on the second line.
c. Press the ALT and PF3 key together. The LCD will display P02-01 (0).
d. Use the UP arrow key to change the 0 to 1, then press the Enter key.
The LCD will display 901 || ******** meaning the configuration has been deleted from the Sync card.
Optional: To delete any configuration file on the floppy diskette press the Enter key again. The LCD will display 902 || ********
594 section
a. If first line in the LCD is blank and second line appears as 020-01 (1),
press the ALT and PF3 keys together. The LCD will display P02-01 (0).
b. Use the UP arrow key to change the 0 to 1, then press the Enter key.
The LCD will display 901 || ******** meaning the configuration has been deleted from CMOS memory on the Sync card.
Optional: To delete the configuration on the floppy diskette press the Enter key again. The LCD will display 902 || ********
At this point the controller will require that a configuration be transfered to the CMOS using the procedure outlined in Chapter 6 of your User and Reference Guide.
