SCO OpenServer cannot find media image
Issue:
When installing a driver using a media image, SCO fails to find the file.
Custom will report an "Error: (/) Retry searching for distribution control files."
Cause:
- The driver image file (*.dd or *.img) was not renamed as VOL.000.000
- The driver image file was transfered from another host using the wrong transfer mode.
Solution:
- When installing software as a Media Image, SCO looks for a file called VOL.000.000. Ensure that the image file has been renamed to this specific name.
- When transfering image files from one host to another you must use the Binary transfer method.
